Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a dedicated patient care role in New York. The position focuses on direct care, ADL assistance, and maintaining patient safety and comfort in a hospital setting.

The role requires patient care experience, CNAs with current license, or RN school completion with hands-on clinical hours. Expect a physical, team-oriented environment with strong emphasis on safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum one-year direct patient care experience at an acute care hospital, long term care facility, rehabilitation facility or licensed home care facility/agency.
• Completion of one year of RN school from an approved ADN or BSN program where a minimum of 30 hours of clinical patient care was performed (OR)
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), license must be current (OR)
• EMT certification with less than 1 year volunteer experience, certification must be current

Responsibilities

• Provides direct / non-direct patient care including activities of daily living.
• Assists with meal tray delivery and documentation of amount consumed.
• Performs patient data collection (vital signs, EKG, telemetry, etc.).
• Documentation in EMR and coordination with nursing team.
• Performs patient care interventions as delegated and within scope of practice.
