Job summary

Mental Health Association of Rochester is seeking a full-time Nurse Aide for a long-term care setting. You will provide direct resident care, assisting with daily living activities to ensure resident well-being and safety.

Under nursing supervision, you’ll perform clerical duties, follow individualized care plans, monitor residents for changes, and report observations to licensed nurses. Collaboration with the care team will enhance care quality and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Completion of a Nurse Aide class with Nebraska licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care including ADLs (grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting).

Assist with medical equipment setup, monitor residents for changes, and report observations to licensed nurses.

Support residents with mobility, skin integrity, and hygiene to prevent complications, and accurately document care activities and resident responses.

Collaborate effectively with team members, residents, and families to enhance care quality and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications include at least 18 years old, valid Driver’s License, a high school diploma or GED (preferred), and completion of a Nurse Aide class with Nebraska licensure. Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and have healthcare experience preferred.
