The position requires a health science diploma, GA nursing license, and the ability to obtain the Train-the-Trainer certification within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Diploma in medical field or health science from a regionally accredited college or university.
• One year of relevant work experience.
• Valid GA Nursing License;
• Demonstrated competencies in course content (coursework, license, certification, etc.).
• Ability to obtain GA Nurse Aide Train the Trainer certification within 60 days of hire, if not already held.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to bend, perform body mechanics, lift 25 - 50 lbs., with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional instruction based on approved course syllabus and meets stated objectives.
• Prepares curriculum and syllabus; displays a professional attitude toward students and teaching.
• Evaluates student progress and reports performance to the Program Chair.
• Administers and grades class examinations.
• Maintains records of student grades and files.
• Attends in-service trainings, workshops and seminars as needed.
• Ensures safety and security in training and labs.
• Meets deadlines and completes mandatory training.
• Meets with students and staff as needed.
