As a Nurse Advisor, you will play a vital role in helping patients and their families navigate complex healthcare journeys and access high-quality medical care. You will manage a portfolio of clients, using your clinical expertise to provide personalized guidance, patient advocacy, and care coordination. Working closely with healthcare providers and multidisciplinary internal teams, you will help clients understand their options and make informed medical decisions. You will also support the initial patient triage process, welcoming new clients, assessing their needs, and connecting them with the appropriate services. This role combines clinical knowledge, compassionate communication, and problem-solving in a collaborative, fast-growing healthcare environment. It offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while contributing to a more coordinated and accessible healthcare experience.

Accountabilities
  • Manage a portfolio of low- to moderate-acuity clients, providing responsive clinical support, education, patient advocacy, care coordination, and ongoing guidance throughout their healthcare journey.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with patients and their families, serving as a reliable point of contact and helping them navigate complex medical situations with confidence.
  • Conduct clinical intake assessments through phone and email communications to understand individual healthcare needs, evaluate priorities, and determine the most appropriate next steps.
  • Help clients access suitable healthcare providers, medical facilities, and specialized services by identifying appropriate recommendations and coordinating appointments.
  • Collaborate with client services coordinators, medical records specialists, provider network teams, and other clinical professionals to ensure comprehensive and seamless case management.
  • Support medical record reviews and help clients understand relevant clinical information, treatment options, and healthcare recommendations.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions between providers and internal teams, ensuring consistent communication and continuity of care throughout the patient experience.
  • Provide cross-functional support to the triage team by responding to new client inquiries, welcoming prospective and active patients, and assessing their immediate needs.
  • Educate new clients about available healthcare advisory services and connect them with the most appropriate internal teams and resources.
  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and compassionately with patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain a high standard of client service while managing competing priorities and adapting to evolving healthcare needs.
Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where you currently reside.
  • At least 5 years of professional healthcare experience in a clinical or patient-facing environment.
  • Previous experience in case management, care coordination, patient navigation, emergency room triage, or another broad-based clinical setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, sound judgment, and the ability to evaluate patient needs and recommend appropriate next steps.
  • Demonstrated ability to support patients and families with empathy, confidence, and professionalism, particularly when navigating complex or challenging medical situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex medical information into clear, accessible guidance for both clinical and non-clinical audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client cases, prioritize urgent requests, and deliver timely support.
  • A self-directed and collaborative working style, with the ability to take initiative while working effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Comfort learning and using new technologies, digital platforms, and healthcare information systems.
  • Previous experience working remotely, with the ability to remain productive, responsive, and connected in a distributed team environment.
  • A compassionate, client-focused mindset and genuine motivation to improve the healthcare experience and outcomes for patients and their families.
  • Must reside in and physically perform all work within the United States.
Benefits
  • Competitive annual base salary ranging from $85,000 to $100,000 USD, depending on experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors.
  • Annual cash incentive program.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions.
  • Flexible paid time off (PTO).
  • Access to healthcare advisory services for employees and eligible dependents through the employee healthcare support program.
  • Fully remote working arrangements, with the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States.
  • Opportunity to work alongside experienced healthcare professionals in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
