Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. is hiring a Nurse for the Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) program at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution in Shirley, MA.

This role involves administering medications to incarcerated patients and supporting their treatment plans. The position offers a 40-hour week, 5:00am-1:00pm schedule with every-other-weekend requirements, and a pay rate of $38.00–$42.00 per hour plus a weekend differential.

Qualifications

• MA nursing license (LPN or RN) is required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Experience in substance use/mental health is preferred.
• DOC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to incarcerated patients in the MOUD program.
• Triaging patients referred to treatment for opioid or alcohol use disorders.
• Count and administer medications in compliance with state and federal standards.

The Nurse is responsible for:

• Administering medication to incarcerated patients who are enrolled in the Substance Use Disorder Treatment (SUDT) Program
• Triaging patients referred to treatment for Opioid Use and/or Alcohol Use Disorder
• Control, counting and administer medication in accordance with state and federal standards and regulation.

Qualifications

• Valid MA nursing license from accredited school required, LPN or RN
• Must Have current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in substance abuse/mental health preferred
• DOC experience preferred
