Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering is seeking a Technical Consultant I to provide program management oversight for the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) Management and Operations contract in Carlsbad, NM. The role supports the SOID Project Manager by coordinating surface/underground activities, waste receipt and emplacement, and EVMS assessments.

Qualified candidates will have extensive experience in nuclear or hazardous waste management and proven ability to oversee multiple contractor

Qualifications

• Hazardous or nuclear waste management expertise or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provide program management oversight of the WIPP M&O contractor.
• Oversee surface and underground operations within the assigned program management scope.
• Monitor waste receipt and emplacement activities.
• Oversee waste transportation activities at WIPP operations.
• Monitor installation of Minor Construction Projects.
• Evaluate Earned Value Management System activities and cost/schedule performance.
