Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering seeks a Technical Consultant I to provide program management oversight for the WIPP management and operating contractor. The role supports the SOID Project Manager across surface and underground operations, waste receipt and emplacement, transportation, and minor construction projects.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in earned value management, nuclear waste or hazardous materials, and regulatory experience, with US citizenship required for the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 15 years of experience, or master's with 10 years, or PhD with 5 years.
• US citizenship is required by government contract.
• Experience with DOE/NNSA or nuclear facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide program management oversight of the WIPP M&O contractor.
• Oversee surface and underground operations within the program scope.
• Monitor waste receipt and emplacement activities.
• Oversee waste transportation activities for WIPP operations.
• Monitor Minor Construction Projects installations affecting scope.
• Evaluate Earned Value Management System performance and cost/schedule.
• Perform project management functions for the SOID Project Manager.
