Job summary

Duke Energy in Seneca, SC seeks a Nuclear Traveling Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to maintain switchgear, breakers and transformers at the Oconee Nuclear Station Breaker shop. Travel may be up to 100% of the time; nuclear access is required.

DUTY locations include several facilities in the Carolinas, with on-site and field work. Responsibilities include testing, calibration, and use of software such as Maximo, CAS, Tags Pro, Esoms and Nantel to complete Nuclear, Regulated and Renewable

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience with switchgear/load centers, breakers and transformers is preferred.
Ability to read electrical diagrams and one-line drawings.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, repair and testing of switchgear, breakers and transformers safely.
Read and interpret electrical drawings and work orders.
Perform activities independently or in a team setting as needed.
Maintain quality and productivity while following safety standards.
Communicate work progress and difficulties to supervisors.
Develop proficiency with calibration equipment and related tooling.
