Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Technician for the Reactor & BOP Inspection Tooling team. You will provide field services at nuclear power plant sites, perform service center operations with high-tech equipment, and report to the Manager of Inspection Services Tooling and Maintenance.

The role requires up to 40% travel and on-site work in Madison, PA. The position involves equipment setup, testing, NDE tech, robotics, and working in hazardous/radiological

Qualifications

• Associates degree or the recognized equivalent is required.
• 0+ years of experience; mechanical and/or electronic aptitude is preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain unescorted access to a nuclear power plant and work with hazardous materials.
• Ability to travel during spring and fall for potentially months at a time on jobs; requires 12 hour schedule on nights or days when on site assignments; 6-7 days per week on site.
• This is a physical position; ability to lift 50-60 lbs, ascend/descend ladders, work in industrial and radiological environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform service center support: equipment maintenance/checkout, decontamination, packing/unpacking, shipment prep, material handling, calibration; review procedures/drawings.
• Assess equipment specifications and determine tooling instructions, tools, materials, and operation sequences.
• Perform equipment modifications/setup/testing, mock-up preparation, process testing and qualifications.
• Document equipment performance issues and ensure corrective actions are completed before next use.
• Participate in safety and training programs to maintain certifications and stay current with technology.
• Operate field service equipment at customer sites, including NDE tech, robotic systems, and computer networks.
