Job summary

ENERCON is hiring a Structural Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group. You will analyze, design, and evaluate critical structures for safety and reliability, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across projects.

The role offers growth from mid-level to principal, with opportunities to lead design studies, mentor others, and travel for field activities. A Civil/Structural degree and 3+ years in power, nuclear, or DOE projects are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with design of structural systems including concrete and steel.
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects.
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• US Citizenship is required due to Federal Contract Requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work with professionals from various engineering fields to ensure smooth coordination and integration of designs.
• Lead Design Initiatives: Develop design studies, craft project scopes, and produce accurate engineering estimates.

• Engage in Field Operations: Travel for site walkdowns, oversee field installations, and support system start-ups.
