Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. in Huntsville, AL seeks a Thermal-Hydraulic Analysis Engineer to support licensing, design, qualification, and operability of nuclear facilities.

This role sits in the Nuclear Services Group within Engineering & Safety Analysis and spans safety analyses for reactors, fuel cycles, and related systems. Responsibilities include safety and licensing calculations, containment and environmental qualification analysis, system transient evaluations, and LOCA methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a nuclear, mechanical or chemical engineering field.
• Minimum 3+ years of safety analysis experience in a nuclear environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Interest in applying technical skills to diverse engineering problems.
• Willingness to travel to plant sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Licensing Support: prepare calculations, evaluations and licensing documents for SAR/ISA/LAR related to nuclear analysis licensing submittals.
• Containment/Habitability and Environmental Qualification Analysis: conduct steady-state and transient thermal-hydraulic analyses and environmental qualification profiling.
• System Transient Evaluations: model nuclear systems using thermal-hydraulics knowledge and software tools.
• Mechanical Analysis: analyze piping systems for hydrodynamic loads, water hammer and heat exchanger performance.
• LOCA and Transient Analysis Methods: experience with LOCA and other safety analysis methods preferred.
• Client Relations & Business Development: participate in client reviews, assist with proposals and business development.
