Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor Degree in physics, chemistry, engineering or mathematics.
Requires one year of professional experience in health physics, radiochemistry, environmental safety or related field.

Responsibilities

Conduct Radiological Environmental Monitoring Program activities.
Perform radiological surveys, compliance inspections and escorts of shipments of radioactive materials.
Participate in response actions for radiological incidents or emergencies.
Ensure compliance with Water Treatment Residual regulations and related oversight.
Calibrate and operate environmental dosimeter reader systems.
Maintain and calibrate sampling and surveying equipment.
Serve as a team member of the Radiological Task Force and be available for callbacks.
Perform other duties within the scope of the position as needed.
