Westinghouse Electric Company is recruiting Junior Health Physics Technicians to work at U.S. nuclear power plants.

You will provide Radiation Protection coverage and oversight for plant activities, with tasks defined by individual certifications, qualifications, and skills. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED; training to meet local, state, and federal OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations; and the ability to obtain and maintain a Level II Nuclear Access Badge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Workers must train following applicable local, state, and federal OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations.
• Satisfy all requirements required to obtain a Level II Nuclear Access Badge
• Meet all applicable requirements to maintain unescorted access

Responsibilities

• Provide Radiation Protection coverage and oversight as required for power-plant activities.
• Types of tasks Jr RP Technicians may be assigned to perform include: radiation and contamination surveys, material and equipment surveys, ALARA planning, decontamination activities, support of Site Emergency Plan.
