Job summary

Enercon’s Nuclear Services group is seeking a Safety Analysis Engineer to develop nuclear safety analyses, licensing documents, and regulatory submittals for commercial nuclear facilities. You will build and apply computer models for thermal-hydraulic and radiological assessments, support design basis, and help ensure environmental and public safety compliance.

The role involves collaboration with clients and regulatory teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of safety analysis experience in a nuclear environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to travel to plant sites.

Responsibilities

• Support safety analysis, licensing, and design basis documents for mechanical, nuclear, or chemical safety.
• Develop computer models and analyses addressing reactor/system response and safety issues using relevant codes.
• Perform shielding and radiological evaluations for environmental qualification and spent fuel storage.
• Develop nuclear fuels and criticality analyses related to core design and fuel cycles.
• Assess environmental and atmospheric dispersion impacts from radiological and chemical releases.
• Engage with clients, support peer reviews and NRC audits to ensure project clarity and business development.
