Job summary

Idaho Environmental Coalition, LLC seeks a Multi-Level Security Specialist to apply scientific engineering solutions to the Safeguards & Security program for special nuclear materials. You will review assay data to determine attractiveness levels and material quantities, and ensure accurate inventory and reporting of shipments and removals.

The role requires interpreting DOE requirements for Safeguards and MC&A qualifications, with the ability to obtain a Q clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering or closely related Scientific Degree.
Salary Grade 15 requires 2 years relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
Salary Grade 18 requires 12 years relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
A combination of experience and education may be substituted for a degree. Bachelors equivalent is 8 years of directly relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Employ scientific engineering solutions to technical challenges of the Safeguards & Security (S&S) control program for special nuclear materials (SNM).
Primary activities will include reviewing assay data to determine attractiveness levels and quantity of material.
Ensure SNM is accurately inventoried and reported concerning shipments, receipts, and removals of discardable material.
Provide technical interpretation of DOE requirements and application of program requirements for Safeguards application.
Secondary activities will include Material Control and Accountability (MC&A) qualifications and support.
