Job summary

RSI is seeking a Safeguards and Security (S&S) Specialist to provide technical and administrative support for the Department of Energy (DOE) and NNSA. The role emphasizes the ability to manage complex technical challenges and convey clear strategies for safeguards and security compliance.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science, recognized expertise in Nuclear Material Control & Accountability, and strong organizational skills. Exceptional communication abilities are essential, as is the capacity to work independently or collaboratively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline (advanced degree preferred).
• Recognized Subject Matter Expert within the DOE or commercial nuclear complex.
• Demonstrated expertise in Nuclear Material Control & Accountability (NMC&A).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative support services for DOE and NNSA.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Safeguards & Security issues.
• Plan and coordinate security risk assessments and ensure compliance.
