Job summary

Battelle Energy Alliance (INL) seeks a PhD intern for Safeguards Measurements and Advanced Reactor Technologies (SMART) group at the Idaho Falls Campus. You will assist in instrumentation development, spectroscopy, and sample analysis for nuclear material accounting and verification.

The role involves collaboration with researchers and engineers on experimental work, data analysis, and technical reporting, with a 9x80 schedule onsite.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with experimental research and laboratory-based characterization, measurement, or testing techniques.
• Currently enrolled full-time in a PhD program in Nuclear Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Minimum overall GPA 3.0.
