Job summary

Battelle Energy Alliance is seeking an undergraduate intern to join the National Security Solutions team at Idaho National Laboratory in Idaho Falls. The role focuses on workforce development and introduces fundamentals of materials science research integrated with computer science applications.

The selected student will gain hands-on experience in specimen measurement, microscopy, metallography and basic mechanical testing across sequenced training blocks, feeding results into ongoing INL

Qualifications

• Undergraduate freshman or sophomore enrolled full time in Materials Science.
• A minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Current resume or CV.
• Unofficial transcripts (include current and completed degree programs).
• Current class schedule and credits.
• Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive environment.
• Subject to DOE O 142.3B requirements for foreign nationals.
