Job summary

NuScale Power is seeking an experienced Refueling and Remote Handling (RnRH) Supervisor to lead engineers responsible for remotely operated tools during reactor refueling and handling operations. The role encompasses design, analysis, and collaboration with NSSS and RXB groups to ensure safe, efficient performance.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in complex nuclear projects, and a PE license is preferred. DOE Part 810 eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience managing complex refueling and remote handling projects.
• DOE 10 CFR Part 810 eligibility required.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a team of professionals and provides guidance on technical work.
• Develops engineering deliverables communicating design and technical aspects of refueling and remote handling systems.
• Develops material handling processes to support remote reactor refueling.
• Designs and analyzes refueling and remote handling equipment in underwater and potentially radioactive environments.
• Collaborates with NSSS design groups to ensure repeatability and reliability of systems.
• Applies NRC licensing criteria in technical decisions for analysis methodologies.
• Leads cross‑functional projects and evaluates personnel performance.
