Job summary

Sonic Systems is seeking a Reactor Vessel Technician Lead to supervise staging, disassembly, and re-assembly of reactor components at nuclear plants. The role operates in high radiation zones and requires protective clothing and strict safety practices.

100% travel is required to Perry and Hatch sites with specified dates. Candidates must pass background checks, drug testing, respirator training, and EH&S modules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Clean background with no outstanding or pending legal charges.
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test at time of hire and random.
• Valid Driver’s License with no pending charges.
• Non-US citizen must hold current work visa or green card.
• Knowledge of operating a computer.
• Previous GE experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work will occur in a nuclear power plant, in a radioactively controlled environment, primarily in the US with some international travel.
• Perform staging, disassembly, and re-assembly of reactor components and related tasks.
• Wear radiation and environmental protection equipment as required.
• Contribute input on work performed and recommend improvements or resolutions.
• Able to work in heightened environments, carry 20 lbs, lift 50 lbs, and navigate confined spaces.
• Maintain teamwork and adhere to written procedures and work directions.
