Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Cranberry Township, PA, is seeking an Engineer I in the Materials & Aging Management team. This hybrid role requires 2 days per week on-site at the Cranberry Woods facility in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.

You will develop inspection criteria for reactor vessel internals, apply ASME Code with FEA, qualify replacements, and assess degradation to support safe long-term operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required.
• Minimum 0–2 years of applicable experience.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher required.

Responsibilities

• Develop inspection acceptance criteria for nuclear power plant components.
• Apply ASME Code and perform calculations using FEA for reactor vessel internals.
• Qualify replacement reactor internals components for plant operation.
• Evaluate degradation observed to permit continued operation.
• Support industry guidance projects for safe long-term operation.
