Job summary

The Nuclear Quality Technical Leader II at Electric Power Research Institute, Inc. provides technical oversight to ensure safety-related items meet ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, and 10 CFR Part 21 standards.

This role leads quality execution across procurement, supplier audits, and nonconformance management. Based in the North Carolina home office, the position requires independent work, strong communication with subject matter experts, and mentorship to junior staff while guiding complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent.
• Experience with ASME NQA-1 and NRC 10 CFR requirements.
• Ability to lead supplier audits and verify CoC submissions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing corrective actions and nonconformances.

Responsibilities

• Direct the implementation of ASME NQA-1 quality program execution.
• Lead evaluation processes for safety issues and Part 21 applicability.
• Oversee 10 CFR 50 Appendix B oversight for projects.
• Manage CGD processes for safety-related applications.
• Lead technical evaluations of CARs and NCRs and dispositions.
• Review safety-related procurement to ensure flow-down of clauses.
