Job summary

System One is seeking a Quality Control Inspector in Chattanooga, TN for a direct-hire role with full benefits. The position focuses on dimensional and visual inspections across the production cycle, using precision measuring tools and CMMs to verify conformance on nuclear, DoE, DoD, and AS9100/ISO9001 projects.

The role emphasizes two equal dimensions: Competency and Culture, with emphasis on documentation, traceability, and customer interface.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Minimum 2 years of quality control inspection using Faro Arm CMM and/or Keyence Optical CMM.
• Knowledge of nuclear QA codes and ASME/ANSI standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible hours to meet emergent customer needs.
• Ability to use vernier gauges, calipers, micrometers, height gauges; pass knowledge assessment.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspections at various production stages using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Program and operate Faro Arm CMM and/or Keyence Optical CMM; interpret drawings with GD&T.
• Verify incoming materials and in-process parts; maintain traceability.
• Report inspection results and interface with customers and production.
• Travel for off-site inspections if required.
