Job summary

Master Machine, a precision manufacturing company in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for weekend night shifts. You will perform dimensional and visual inspections during production using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs to verify conformance to drawings and quality standards.

You will interpret GD&T, document results, verify incoming materials, and support QA programs while interfacing with customers and production teams.

Qualifications

• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge.
• Minimum 2 years of QC inspection experience using Faro Arm CMM and/or Keyence Optical CMM.
• Knowledge of NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, ANSI N45.2, ASME BPVC Section III and VIII.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspections at all production stages to verify drawings and GD&T requirements.
• Interpret drawings and apply GD&T; document results and maintain traceability.
• Verify incoming materials and in-process products against purchase order specs; ensure QA compliance.
• Conduct witness and hold point inspections; may travel to customer or supplier sites.
• Interface with customers and production teams to communicate inspection results and quality requirements.
