Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Lead Auditor to own and manage the nuclear QA audit program, aligned with ASME NQA-1. You will lead internal and supplier audits, write audit reports, and verify corrective actions to closure.

Independence from the work audited and strong documentation discipline are critical. You will plan weekly audits, supervise a team of auditors and specialists, and engage with licensee QA organizations to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor or qualifiable within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance experience auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials testing, special inspection, or geotechnical services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program, including internal and supplier audits.
• Lead audits end to end: notification, checklist, entrance meeting, evidence collection, findings, exit meeting, and reporting.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services; recommend supplier-list actions.
• Perform surveillances and classify findings; issue corrective-action requests and verify closure.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records and support external program audits.
