Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own the audit program under our nuclear quality assurance framework, aligned with ASME NQA-1. You will plan the annual schedule, lead internal and supplier audits, write reports, and verify corrective actions to closure.

You will work on projects where records, independence, and qualification files are critical, and you will mentor a team of auditors and specialists while interfacing with licensee quality organizations and NRC-style reviews.

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or qualifiable within 90 days: documented training in auditing, participation in a minimum number of audits, and a written examination per NQA-1 Part II Subpart 2.23 (we administer the exam).
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance, with hands-on experience auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• Experience with ASME NQA-1 and supplier quality programs; ability to lead audits end-to-end and present findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program, including internal and supplier audits.
• Lead audits end to end — notification, checklist, entrance meeting, evidence, findings, exit meeting, report.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services; recommend additions or removals.
• Maintain qualification records and support external audits; ensure corrective actions are closed with evidence.
