Job summary

Global Laser Enrichment in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Process Engineer to support development, design, testing, and commissioning of process systems for enrichment technology. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with chemical process systems, gas handling, vacuum systems or similar equipment.
• Experience documenting process requirements, mass/energy balances, P&IDs, and operating envelopes.
• Experience supporting test planning, commissioning, troubleshooting, startup, or operation of complex process systems.

Responsibilities

• Support development of process requirements, operating envelopes, and design inputs for enrichment-related systems.
• Prepare mass/energy balances, P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and design basis inputs.
• Calculate component sizing for pumps, compressors, valves, and piping.
• Model process simulations using ChemCAD, Comsol, Excel, and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Collaborate with mechanical design and systems engineering to integrate process needs into equipment designs.
• Contribute to design reviews, hazard analyses, and commissioning readiness.
