Job summary

Global Laser Enrichment seeks a Laboratory Integration Engineer in Wilmington, NC, to support development and execution of experiments for their first-of-a-kind uranium enrichment program.

The role operates, calibrates, maintains, and troubleshoots laboratory analytical equipment and test systems, collaborating with scientists and engineers to develop experimental setups and interpret results. An NRC Q-clearance is required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Requires hands-on experience operating, assembling, maintaining, or troubleshooting laboratory equipment.
• Ability to follow technical procedures and document experimental activities and results.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to obtain and maintain NRC security clearance and nuclear site access.

Responsibilities

• Operate analytical and laboratory equipment including RGA, mass spectrometry, gas analysis, spectroscopy, and vacuum instrumentation.
• Set up, configure, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to develop experimental test setups.
• Execute experiments and document test conditions, observations, and results.
• Collect and review experimental data and assist interpretation of results.
• Assemble or modify laboratory test apparatus and supporting hardware.
• Configure vacuum and gas-handling components, sensors, and instrumentation.
• Perform vacuum system setup, leak checking, and basic maintenance.
• Install sensors, data acquisition equipment, and basic control systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment behavior and results with the team.
• Support commissioning and checkout of new laboratory equipment.
• Maintain calibration records and experimental configurations.
• Support development of laboratory procedures and safe practices.
