• U.S. Citizenship and DOE/NRC Q-clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop design specifications and conceptualize new mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with design engineers to complete detailed designs and drawings.
• Review existing systems and improve performance and reliability.
• Prepare and verify engineering documentation, analyses, and calculations.
• Perform stress, heat transfer, vibration, and thermal analyses.
• Design and execute test procedures to validate components.
• Interface with project managers and cross-functional teams.
• Support procurement, documentation, and manufacturing processes.
• Define technical scope and assess project risks.
• Work with Mechanical Engineering Manager on priorities and timelines.
