Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company in Oak Harbor, Ohio, is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the Electrical scope for Extended Power Uprates (EPU) projects. You will direct design, modification, and testing of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with NRC, NERC, IEEE standards and fleet integration.

You will coordinate with EPCs, OEMs, and site engineering, provide technical leadership to resolve issues, and drive on-time delivery and reliable operability across the plant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical preferred).
• 10+ years nuclear engineering experience, with 5+ years in electrical design or major projects.
• Experience with Extended Power Uprates and switchyard/grid integration.
• Strong knowledge of NRC, INPO, IEEE, NERC, and ANSI codes and standards.
• Ability to lead electrical engineering teams and coordinate with EPCs, OEMs, site operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical scope for EPU projects, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance.
• Direct and review electrical system designs, ensuring compliance with IEEE, NRC, NERC, and fleet standards.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, and site engineering to ensure compatibility and constructability of electrical modifications.
• Support Owner’s Engineer and independent reviews to validate design quality, operability, and reliability.
• Provide technical leadership for resolving electrical issues to maintain project and outage milestones.
• Ensure electrical designs support long-term operability, maintainability, and integration into the fleet’s systems.
