Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company seeks an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the electrical scope for Extended Power Uprates (EPU) projects. You will ensure safe, high-quality design and testing of electrical systems, coordinating with EPCs, OEMs, and site engineering to deliver reliable plant modifications.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years nuclear engineering experience, and strong knowledge of NRC, INPO, IEEE, NERC, and ANSI standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical preferred).
  • 10+ years in nuclear engineering with 5+ years in electrical systems design or major projects.
  • Experience with Extended Power Uprates and regulatory submittals is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical scope for EPU projects, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance.
  • Direct and review electrical system designs for compliance with IEEE, NRC, NERC, and fleet standards.
  • Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, and site engineering for compatibility and constructability.
  • Support Owner’s Engineer and independent reviews to validate design quality and reliability.
  • Provide technical leadership to resolve electrical issues to meet outage milestones.
  • Ensure designs support operability and integration into fleet systems.
