Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Solar Laborer Foreman to coordinate crews, prepare and supply materials, and drive safety and quality on site. You will supervise shifts, develop training plans, and lead by example while optimizing production and plant KPIs.

The role emphasizes teamwork, effective communication, and hands-on leadership with equipment operation experience on a construction site.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years related experience preferred.
• Current driver’s license.
• Ability to work with power and non-powered tools and equipment listed in responsibilities.
• Strong teamwork, positive attitude and professional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide shift supervision for the team members
• Lead production team members with a safety- and quality-first approach and ensure policy compliance
• Develop work instructions and cross-training plans
• Provide on-the-job training and lead by example
• Drive continuous improvement of plant KPIs (Safety, Quality, Customer Service, Cost)
• Adjust schedules and workload balance as required by the operation
• Monitor supply inventory levels and coordinate with others when reordering
• Utilize lean methodologies to accomplish production goals
• Take ownership of functions and be responsible for the facility
