Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform radionuclide procedures, image acquisition, and radiopharmaceutical preparation for diagnosis and therapy. The role requires adhering to NRC and state guidelines while maintaining patient safety and accurate records.

The incumbent will operate NM equipment, utilize PACS/EPIC systems, and participate in on-call, holiday, and weekend shifts as required by the Department of Radiology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Performs radionuclide procedures including organ imaging and function studies.
• Operates Nuclear Medicine equipment as directed.
• Ensures radiation protection for patient and self per safety guidelines.
• Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients.
• Maintains accurate records of radioisotope use and disposal.
• Uses PACS/EPIC/Teletracking to schedule and process studies.
• Follows NRC, State DEP and JCAHO guidelines and policies.
