Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide safe, high-quality imaging and patient care. The role performs exams, positions patients, and ensures accurate radiopharmaceutical administration per protocol.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience; nuclear medicine preferred.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or CNMT certification required on hire.
• BLS certification required or instructor status.

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine studies with proper technique and patient positioning.
• Verify orders, obtain history, and assess contraindications.
• Maintain infection control, operate equipment, and ensure image quality.
• Communicate with patients to explain procedures using AIDET protocol.
• Assist with QA, documentation, and coordination with radiologists.
