Job summary

St. David’s North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging using radioisotopes, following ARRT/NMTCB guidelines and hospital policies.

You will operate cameras, manage patient care from neonatal to geriatric, and contribute to high-quality scans while maintaining safety and ethics. The role emphasizes image quality, radiation safety, patient communication, and teamwork within a leading Texas medical center.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from a JRCERT-accredited radiology program or equivalent.
• Associates Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• Two to three years of radiologic technologist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce diagnostic images according to ARRT and NMTCB standards.
• Operate Nuclear Medicine cameras, computers and related equipment efficiently.
• Follow ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure; maintain safety protocols.
• Explain procedures to patients and families in understandable terms; ensure patient comfort and dignity.
• Maintain patient records and ensure workflow efficiency in a busy imaging department.
