Job summary

Ascension Health in Austin, TX is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Nuclear Medicine department. The role operates on a rotating, PRN schedule and involves administering radiopharmaceuticals with strict safety practices.

You will ensure accurate patient positioning, complete clinical documentation, and timely image submission to PACS and the EHR system, supporting quality patient outcomes in a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 1 month of hire.
• Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification required before hire.
• NMTCB or NMTCB-NCT credential required before hire.
• ARRT Nuclear Medicine credential required before hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures to deliver high-quality imaging.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and maintain radiation safety standards.
• Operate and monitor imaging equipment to produce accurate diagnostic images.
• Ensure precise patient positioning, documentation, and timely image submission to PACS/EHR.
