Job summary

UCI Health in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform in vivo and in vitro imaging using radiopharmaceuticals. You will operate gamma cameras, Geiger counters, well counters, and dose calibration devices, and conduct PET/CT studies on the PET/CT system, including CT contrast injections.

Reporting to the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, you will help create protocol-specific imaging and ensure quality control while supporting research trials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
• Current and active State of California CNMT License.
• Current NMTCB and/or AART (N) licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum one year, full-time CNMT experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to provide on-call service as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform in vivo and in vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and related substances.
• Operate quality control of stationary and portable scintillation equipment including gamma cameras and counters.
• Perform PET, Nuc Med, and CT diagnostic studies on PET/CT scanner; injecting CT contrast media as needed.
• Create and program study-specific protocols under supervision of Nuclear Medicine Supervisor and Medical Director.
• Support scanner qualification for research trials; participate in protocol development and imaging/reformatting.
