Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform the full range of nuclear medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals, providing quality patient care and ensuring timely throughput. Responsibilities include operating and QC of scintillation equipment such as SPECT and gamma cameras, and developing protocols for administration and imaging under supervision.

On-call shifts, evenings, weekends and holidays are required.

Qualifications

Graduate from an AMA school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
California Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification and state license.
Current ARRT(N) or NMTCB license.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
Minimum Experience: At least 1 year of acute hospital experience (may include training).
Computer skills are essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work on-call (evenings and weekends), in addition to holidays.
Preferred: Knowledge of all Nuclear Medicine Procedures.
Preferred: Knowledge of University and medical center policies and forms.

Responsibilities

Perform the full range of Nuclear Medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals.
Provide quality patient care and ensure timely throughput of exams.
Operate and quality-control stationary and portable scintillation equipment including SPECT and gamma cameras.
Create and program study-specific protocols for administration, imaging, and reformatting.
Work on-call evenings, weekends, and holidays under supervision.
