Job summary
University of California - Irvine Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform in vivo and in vitro procedures, including PET/CT studies and protocol development under supervision. The role requires CNMT licensure, NMTCB/AART licensure, and active BLS certification, with on-call responsibilities.
A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered for external hires, distributed at hire and at six months.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year full-time CNMT experience.
- California CNMT license active.
- NMTCB and/or AART licensure.
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
- Current BLS certification.
- English reading, writing and communication proficiency.
- On-call/call-back availability.
- Knowledge of ALARA radiation safety principles.
Responsibilities
- Perform in vivo and in vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and related substances.
- Perform PET, Nuc Med and CT studies on PET/CT, including CT contrast media injections, image acquisition and reformatting.
- Operate and QC scintillation equipment (gamma cameras, well counters, dose calibrators).
- Assist in scanner qualification for research trials and create study-specific protocols under supervision.
