Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician to perform in vivo/in vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures with radiopharmaceuticals. Responsibilities include operating gamma cameras, well counters, and CT/PET imaging on a PET/CT system, with protocol creation under supervision.

The role requires CA CNMT licensure, NMTCB/AART (N), BLS, and on-call availability; graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program is required.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
• Current and active California CNMT license.
• Current NMTCB and/or AART (N) licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to provide on-call/call-back service as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full range of in vivo and in vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals.
• Operate quality control for stationary and portable scintillation equipment (gamma cameras, well counters, etc.).
• Perform PET, Nuc Med, and CT diagnostic studies on a PET/CT scanner including contrast administration and image reformations.
• Create and program study-specific protocols including administration and imaging under supervision.
