Job summary

Wellstar Health System, a leading Georgia healthcare provider, seeks a Nuclear Medicine technologist to deliver safe, age-appropriate imaging services and quality diagnostic studies. You will prepare patients, acquire and review images, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate results.

The role requires ARRT Nuclear Technology or equivalent, at least 1 year of clinical and nuclear medicine experience, and active BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associates Radiologic Technology required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting caring for patients.
• Minimum 1 year of Nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech.
• BLS - Instructor.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to adjust technique to obtain the best study and maintain image quality.
• Reports equipment issues to ensure timely correction.
• Cleans, disinfects and maintains equipment per infection control policy.
• Verifies orders and gathers clinical history to assess contraindications.
• Performs patient setup, preprocedural verification, and position imaging studies.
