Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PRN) to assist with quality diagnostic imaging and patient care. The role requires independent judgment, accurate image acquisition, and strict adherence to safety procedures.

You will prepare and operate imaging equipment, verify patient identity, and ensure privacy and comfort throughout the exam. Minimum education includes a radiologic science program with ARRT-N or CNMT certification and BLS.

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent communication skills due to frequent verbal and written interactions with physicians, patients, staff.
• Ability to function independently and under pressure while actively participating in a team.
• Must multitask effectively and manage time in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Verifies proper clinician order for procedures.
• Obtains complete clinical history and assesses contraindicating conditions.
• Reviews images for clinically acceptable results and releases patients.
• Maintains equipment and ensures patient safety and privacy during exams.
• Takes call as needed and performs other duties as assigned.
