Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic studies and therapeutic administrations using radiopharmaceuticals and imaging equipment. The role requires careful review of orders, accurate imaging, and coordination of patient flow within the Radiology department.

Ideal candidates will hold CNMT and Illinois licensure with BLS and a positive, proactive approach to patient care.

Ability to perform multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow and various technical procedures requiring independent judgment.
Cross-trained modalities as needed with licensure requirements where applicable.

Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical therapeutic administration using Nuc Med and/or PET/CT equipment per department protocols.
Reviews radiology orders for completeness and medical necessity; obtains additional information as needed.
Maintains imaging quality by critiquing positioning, factors and alignment; ensures data accuracy.
Transfers and verifies image data in PACS and HUD systems for Radiologist interpretation; supports after-hours readings.
Maintains imaging equipment and supplies; reports malfunctions promptly.
