Job summary

Jefferson Health Plans is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform nuclear medicine procedures under a radiologist's direction, ensuring radiation safety and quality control. You will educate patients before, during, and after diagnostic imaging and maintain detailed records per NRC regulations.

The role requires ARRT (R) or CNMT certification, RIS/PACS knowledge, and a Diploma in Nuclear Medicine.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of approved Nuclear Medicine Program or ARRT Radiology Registry (R).
• Knowledge of RIS systems.
• Knowledge of PACS systems.
• BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA).
• CNMT - Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff in line with Jefferson values.
• Performs diagnostic imaging examinations and radionuclide imaging studies.
• Prepares and administers radioactive agents following procedures and IV injections.
• Sets up equipment and properly positions patients for optimal results.
• Maintains logs of radionuclide doses and test records per NRC regulations.
• Calibrates and checks equipment and coordinates maintenance when needed.
• Implements radiation safety guidelines during imaging procedures.
