Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform imaging procedures under the supervision of a radiologist. You will be responsible for administering radioactive agents, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining documentation in compliance with NRC regulations.

Ideal candidates have a specialized nuclear medicine diploma or ARRT(R) registry, knowledge of RIS/PACS, and BLS certification. Travel between Jefferson sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Specialized diploma from an approved Nuclear Medicine program or ARRT Radiology (R) registry.
• Knowledge of RIS and PACS systems.
• BLS certification from AHA.
• CNMT certification.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers and staff in a professional manner.
• Performs nuclear medicine imaging procedures and dynamic tests.
• Administers radioactive agents following established procedures and IV injections.
• Positions patients and sets up equipment for optimal results.
• Maintains logs of radionuclide doses and records for NRC compliance.
• Calibrates and maintains imaging equipment; arranges service when needed.
• Applies radiation safety guidelines during imaging.
• Completes continuing education to maintain licenses.
