Job summary
NYU Langone Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (FGP) for the Brooklyn ACBR/Hosp; you will perform imaging and radiopharmacy tasks following safety protocols. The role requires NYS licensure and ARRT/NMTCB credentials, with patient care and teaching responsibilities in a busy hospital setting.
You will work with physicians and technologists, manage workflow in HIS/RIS/PACS, and participate in quality control and safety programs.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certificate in radiologic technology from an accredited school.
- New York State Radiologic Technologist License in Nuclear Medicine.
- ARRT in Nuclear Medicine (NM) or NMTCB certification; NYS Nuclear Medicine Technologist license.
- BLS certification required.
Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity and review physician orders for accuracy.
- Explain procedures clearly and obtain consent when required.
- Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring comfort, privacy, and safety.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform imaging and non-imaging procedures per established protocols.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond to adverse reactions or emergencies.
- Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment and acquire diagnostic images.
