The successful candidate will handle radiopharmaceuticals, operate gamma cameras, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards while supporting learners and collaborating with the medical team.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or certificate in radiologic technology.
• New York State Radiologic Technologist License in Nuclear Medicine.
• ARRT-N or NMTCB certification required; BLS certification.
• Bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and review orders for accuracy.
• Explain procedures and obtain consent as needed.
• Prepare patients for procedures; ensure comfort, privacy and safety.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform imaging per protocols.
• Monitor patients and respond to adverse reactions.
• Operate imaging equipment and evaluate diagnostic images.
• Prepare radiopharmaceutical doses and handle radioactive materials safely.
• Comply with radiation safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain equipment quality checks and documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team; supervise students as needed.
