Job summary

Wellstar in Georgia is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide safe, patient-centered imaging services. You will set up equipment, position patients, and perform procedures with independent judgment, ensuring high-quality diagnostic studies.

The role requires an Associates in Radiologic Technology, 1+ year of clinical experience, and ARRT Nuclear or equivalent certs. Join a team focused on compassionate care, safety, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates Radiologic Technology
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical setting caring for patients
• Minimum 1 year of Nuclear medicine experience is preferred
• Certifications: ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech
• Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the ability to adjust technique so that patient receives the best study possible and that image quality is maintained.
• Reports problems regarding malfunctioning equipment to supervisor or service provider, so that problem can be corrected in a timely manner.
• Cleans, disinfects and maintains equipment in accordance with infection control policy and department cleaning schedule.
• Verifies proper clinician order for procedure.
• Obtains complete clinical history, gathers examination data and assesses for contraindicating conditions.
• Follows established procedures for the administration of radiopharmaceuticals so that no patient condition deteriorates, and no patient suffers undue pain, due to error or poor technique.
• Ensures that all studies have proper patient identification and right and left marker are utilized appropriately.
