Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform exams with independence, ensuring safe patient care and high-quality diagnostic imaging. You will set up equipment, position patients, verify orders, and maintain documentation in RIS and PACS, all while upholding patient privacy and comfort.

The role requires an accredited NM program, ARRT‑N or CNMT, BLS, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication skills with physicians, patients and staff.
• Graduate of an AMA approved Nuclear Medicine program or equivalent.
• ARRT‑N or CNMT certification and BLS before or at hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures per department protocols.
• Prepare and position patients; ensure privacy and comfort.
• Verify patient identity and obtain complete clinical history.
• Operate and maintain NM equipment and ensure calibration before use.
• Document procedures in RIS and send studies to PACS promptly.
