Job summary

WellStar seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide safe, age-appropriate care and high-quality diagnostic imaging. The role requires independent judgment, equipment setup, patient positioning, and adherence to department procedures.

You will perform a wide range of procedures, maintain image quality, and support the department with pre/post procedural care, documentation, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech required.
• BLS certification required or Instructor level.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to maximize image quality while ensuring patient comfort.
• Operate NM equipment, prep patients, and perform procedures per protocol.
• Verify orders, obtain history, and ensure proper patient identification.
• Report equipment issues and maintain cleanliness per infection control.
• Review images and assist radiologists; participate in PACS/RIS workflows.
• Restock supplies, manage time, and support team in procedures.
